My path to commercial real estate wasn’t a straight line. I served as an officer in the U.S. Army Reserve and earned a master’s at the University of Florida before a real estate certification from MIT pulled me toward the asset class for good. What I kept running into was the same wall: commercial real estate was closed to almost everyone. Six-figure entry tickets, opaque ownership records, and brokers stuck on dated platforms.
So in 2019 I founded Hutfin (hutfin.com) to change that. Today Hutfin is an AI-powered fractional commercial real estate marketplace where brokers list for free and investors buy fractional shares of premium commercial properties at small ticket sizes, backed by verified property records. In 2022 I founded Ulease (ulease.com) to bring the same efficiency to rental transactions.
I build what I sell. Hutfin is a live product with mobile apps and real users, not a slide deck. That is the standard I hold every initiative to.
